I used to read a book a week. Lately, I can't find the energy to do anything more than an audiobook. Don't get me wrong, audiobooks are books! But I miss that connection to the written text and carrying a book with me.
With audiobooks, I find myself enjoying many books! But I walk away with low comprehension and memory of the characters and story. If I enjoy a book, I can't remember the author or title, because I am not picking up the book.
I am not abandoning my favorite little app: Libby.
I am however, committing to a New Year's Resolution: Read more. Go to the Library more. Visit Indi Bookstores more. Trade books with friends. Join a book club.
I've avoided NY Resolutions for years because they don't stick! I'm hoping that by creating this blog, I will join the online book community and create a little support and accountability to keep me on track. There are so many fun challenges and connections to make, that I am looking forward to the year ahead!
Resolution: To Read More
Read more physical books
Visit the library more often.
Share and exchange books with friends
Join a book club
Take part in reading challenges
Start a reading journal
Be grateful, be kind, and find accountability to reignite my passion for reading.
